Maya is a friend I met online. She sent this photo, & I immediately wanted to double it, back to back. Upon completion, she wrote that she had indeed had bipolar disorder as a child; her abusive stepfather, meanwhile, was schizophrenic. And those praying hands clearly belong to her beloved grand-mother, "possibly one of the most devout Catholics I've ever known."
